Alan Wade designed a challenging 1.45m track for the $32,000 4* Two-Phase event, attracting 44 entries from 12 countries. Nassar, riding Evergate Stables LLC’s 12-year-old Selle Français gelding Dorado, delivered a winning clear round in 24.26 seconds, outpacing 14 other faultless competitors. Nassar credited Dorado’s speed and his strategic risk-taking on the long approach to the final fence for the victory. He also competed with Donvier, another Evergate gelding, who placed fifth with a double-clear round, and plans to ride a third horse in upcoming classes.
Ireland’s Paul O’Shea secured second place on Squirt Gun, a 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding, with a time of 24.60 seconds, while Venezuela’s Luis Fernando Larrazabal finished third aboard Baroness, a 10-year-old Westphalian mare, clocking 24.90 seconds. Nassar expressed enthusiasm about the show’s atmosphere and opportunities, aiming to find suitable events for his horses throughout the week.
