In response to recent controversy surrounding Puppies & Yoga events in Dublin—criticized for questionable puppy sourcing and overshadowing the urgent needs of shelter dogs—My Lovely Horse Rescue (MLHR) is hosting their own ethical yoga event featuring rescue dogs. MLHR’s undercover investigation revealed inadequate breeder background checks by the original event organizers, prompting animal welfare groups to call for a boycott amid concerns about promoting pedigree puppies over shelter adoptions during a national dog crisis.

To offer a positive alternative and support dogs in need, MLHR’s Rescue Dog team will hold a yoga session at The Breathing Space in Dublin 8 on May 25th, with two classes at 2pm and 3pm. Led by a professional instructor and accompanied by rescue dogs, the event aims to raise funds for animals in MLHR’s care, with all €25 entry fees going directly to support rescue efforts.
