Murtazil Horse Wins Two Teeth Category at First Central India Horse Show in Indore

The first-ever two-day Central India Horse Show commenced in Indore, featuring over 200 Marwari and Nukra breed horses from seven states, including Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Haryana. Held at Gandhinagar Ground and organized by the Devi Ahilya Horse Society, the event showcased competitions based on horses’ grandeur, gait, build, and training across various categories such as Milk Teeth, Two Teeth, and Mare. A standout participant was Murtazil, a horse from Mhow owned by Mohammed Shahrukh, who won first place in the Two Teeth category for his exceptional height, beauty, agility, and physique, earning a cash prize, trophy, and special honors.

The horse show aims to promote Indian equestrian culture and raise awareness about conserving traditional horse breeds. With temporary stables and facilities set up for the event, organizers hope to establish this as an annual event, giving Indore a prominent place in the equestrian sports map. The competition continues into the second day, with prizes awarded to top performers, emphasizing the importance of preserving and celebrating India’s rich horse heritage.
