The MSPCA-Angell’s Nevins Farm in Methuen, Massachusetts, is waiving all adoption fees for horses this weekend, January 31 and February 1, to alleviate overcrowding caused by a surge in large law enforcement cases. Typically charging between $300 and $1,500, the farm is making this rare exception to free up space, as some horses must remain on-site as evidence in ongoing investigations.
Erika Tonnon, the farm’s placement coordinator, emphasized the need to find new homes for six healthy horses rescued through law enforcement activity. Interested adopters can visit without an appointment and should bring photos of the horse’s intended living space. More details are available on the MSPCA website.
