MP High Court Seeks Affidavit on Death of Horses Transported from Hyderabad to Jabalpur

The MP High Court is investigating the deaths of horses transported from Hyderabad to Jabalpur after a petition alleged neglect and illegal activities linked to online betting. Of the 57 horses moved, 12 to 18 have died, with some reportedly dying en route. The petitioner claims the horses suffered from hunger and lack of care, and that they were moved without mandatory medical checks, possibly to destroy evidence related to illegal online gaming. The owner, Suresh Pal, allegedly stopped paying staff leading to the death of many horses in Hyderabad before illegally relocating the remainder to Jabalpur, where Sachin Tiwari is responsible for them.

During the hearing, the court questioned the rationale behind bringing old horses to Jabalpur for breeding and demanded affidavits from the District Collector and Sachin Tiwari detailing the horses’ treatment, medical records, and registration. The court also sought information on Tiwari’s background and the care provided to the horses. The case is set for further hearing on June 25 as authorities probe the circumstances surrounding the horses’ deaths and the legality of their transport and care.
