Mount Baker freshman Lily LaVergne balances her passions for volleyball and horses with dedication and strong time management skills. She plays club volleyball, appreciating the teamwork and camaraderie it fosters, and aims to improve her skills with hopes of playing in college. Her love for horses, which began in early childhood, involves daily care and responsibility for three horses, teaching her discipline and how to juggle her commitments effectively. LaVergne is also active in 4-H and the Patterned Speed Horses Association, experiences that have boosted her confidence and helped her avoid procrastination.

Beyond sports and animals, LaVergne enjoys reading, particularly true crime, and has a passion for travel, having visited Guatemala and Costa Rica, with aspirations to explore Europe and Asia. Academically, she favors math for its clear answers and approaches her future with determination, even though she is uncertain about her exact path. Her balanced lifestyle and proactive attitude highlight her commitment to growth and moving forward.
