Mother Feels Violated After Horse Trailer Used for Children’s Ponies Stolen in Norton

Bonnie Walker from Malvern expressed deep distress after her horse trailer, used to transport her children’s ponies to shows, was stolen from a yard in Norton between October 2 and 3. The Ifor Williams 2013 HB506 trailer, valued at around £5,000 and uninsured at the time, held significant sentimental value, including a childhood teddy bear that symbolized care for the ponies. The theft was particularly upsetting as her daughter, the main rider, had recently broken her ankle, and the trailer played a crucial role in maintaining her son’s social contact through homeschooling and pony shows.

Mrs. Walker described feeling violated by the theft, noting that nothing had ever gone missing from the yard before. Despite police involvement, she remains uncertain about recovering the trailer amid a recent spate of similar thefts. The incident has left her heartbroken, highlighting both the personal and practical impact of the loss on her family. West Mercia Police has been contacted for comment on the case.
