Morocco’s Crown Prince Opens 16th El Jadida Horse Show Celebrating Equestrian Heritage

Morocco’s Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurated the 16th El Jadida Horse Show at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Park, running until October 5 under the theme “The well-being of the horse, a link between equestrian practices.” The event features exhibition villages highlighting breeders, artisans, cultural heritage, and regional showcases, alongside equestrian performances and traditional tbourida (Fantasia) shows by riders from across Morocco.

The annual horse show has become a key platform for dialogue among equestrian stakeholders while celebrating Morocco’s rich cultural and equine heritage. This year’s program includes prestigious competitions such as the Barbe Horse Championship, the Arab-Barbe Championship, the Moroccan Breeders’ Cup for Arabian Horses, and the King Mohammed VI Grand Prizes for Show Jumping and Tbourida. For the first time, an international Arabian horse show competition will be held, complemented by conferences, workshops, and children’s activities to enhance the event’s cultural and scientific significance.
