Eight Missouri 4-H members showcased their equine knowledge and skills at the Eastern National 4-H Horse Roundup held during the North American International Livestock Expo in Louisville, Kentucky. The Missouri 4-H Hippology Team, consisting of Hailey Luthenauer, Adalena McAsey, Jolynn Scott, and Adalyn Sevits, placed eighth out of 22 teams after competing in live classes, a written exam, a team problem, and multiple stations.
In addition to the team competition, individual members also excelled in various contests. Darcy Davis earned eighth place in the National Equine Public Speaking Contest with her speech on the “Importance of PPE.” Taylor Reeves participated in the Individual Presentation Contest, while Norah Randle and Rylee Slye competed in the Horse Judging Contest, representing Missouri with distinction.
