A dog that went missing on January 3 in Cornwall, U.K., was found stranded on a narrow ledge about halfway down a 100-foot cliff near Trebarwith the following day. Boscastle Coastguard was alerted early on January 5 and deployed a qualified cliff technician, supported by the Polzeath Coastguard team, to safely reach and rescue the dog.
The dog was found unharmed and appeared relieved to see rescuers. After a brief assessment, it was secured and brought back to the cliff top, where its owners were waiting. The rescue operation concluded without incident, highlighting the importance of teamwork, training, and a timely public report in ensuring a safe and happy outcome.
