The Minnesota 4-H statewide volunteer recognition program annually honors volunteers who significantly impact youth and communities through awards like the Northern Lights honors. Christy Odden, a Crow Wing County 4-H member and leader of the Happy Hoppers 4-H Rabbit Club, is among the 36 Northern Lights honorees statewide. Odden’s roles include coaching Rabbit Project Bowl, coordinating Shooting Sports & Wildlife, and leading archery and shotgun activities, demonstrating her dedication to hands-on learning, leadership, and youth development.
Minnesota 4-H officials praised Odden’s ongoing commitment and the vital role volunteers play in supporting 4-H programs in Crow Wing County. The Northern Lights awards recognize individuals and teams who foster inclusive, empowering environments bridging early Cloverbud experiences with broader 4-H participation, emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
