Michigan Horse Racing Advisory Commission Awards $69,124 in 2025 Equine Grants

The Michigan Horse Racing Advisory Commission (HRAC) has awarded $69,124 in grants through its 2025 Equine Grant Program to support five projects aimed at improving horse racing facilities and promotion. Recipients include the Croswell Fair for track lighting replacement, the Eastern UP Horsemen’s Association for safety and drainage upgrades, the Fowlerville Family Fair for harness track updates and promotion, the Midland County Fair for track rehabilitation and safety, and the Winner’s Circle Speed Sale for administrative and promotional expenses.

Established under the Horse Racing Law of 1995, the Equine Grant Program funds initiatives related to horse racing promotion, equine research, support, and aftercare. Eligible applicants must have operated for at least two years, maintain good state standing, and provide recent financial statements. Grant applications undergo a competitive review by a joint committee, with final awards decided by the HRAC.
