Michelin-starred chef Peter Armellino of The Plumed Horse in Saratoga Village is hosting a tribute dinner on November 14 in honor of renowned French chef and author Jacques Pépin. The event features a reception with champagne and seasonal hors d’oeuvres, followed by a five-course dinner with wine pairings that blend classic French techniques and modern California cuisine. Guest chef Jared Gallagher, also Michelin-starred, will collaborate with Armellino. Tickets cost $425, with 15% of proceeds benefiting the Jacques Pépin Foundation’s culinary education and workforce training programs. The intimate dinner is part of the foundation’s “90 for 90 Dinners” series and is limited to 24 guests.
Additionally, the Saratoga Foothill Club will screen the award-winning documentary “Eden.” on November 16, which explores winemaking in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This screening is part of the club’s Public Event Series and will include a Q&A session with the director Christopher McGilvray and special guests. The event will be held at the Saratoga Foothill Club, with more information available on their website.
