The Miami Police Department recently celebrated the graduation of several new officers joining its mounted patrol unit after completing six weeks of rigorous training in horse care, crowd control, and precision riding. The event highlighted the strong tradition and community appreciation for the unit, which fosters a sense of safety and trust among residents of all ages.

Graduates included officers from the Miami and Fort Lauderdale Police Departments as well as the Broward Sheriff’s Office, each paired with their new equestrian partners, ready to serve and engage with the community on horseback.
