Meet Peaky Blinder: Louise Bell’s Rising Star Dressage Horse

Peaky Blinder, affectionately known as Duggy, is Louise Bell’s home-bred dressage horse who has grown from a promising yearling in 2019 into a successful eight-year-old competitor. Despite early setbacks due to injuries from self-inflicted harm, Peaky Blinder has achieved notable success, including winning the international young horse division at the Wellington Premier League and securing multiple wins at Prix St Georges and Inter I levels with scores close to 70%. Louise Bell praises him as a “gift from God,” highlighting his trainability, kindness, and determination, drawing comparisons to the legendary Uthopia.

Louise Bell, who co-owns Peaky Blinder with Denise Reynolds, sees great potential in him, hoping he could become her next great star akin to Valegro. She admires his full-circle development from a home-bred foal to a competitive dressage horse and values his strong work ethic and willingness to please. As she continues to train and compete with Peaky Blinder, Louise remains enthusiastic about his future prospects in the sport.
