The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team is gearing up for the 2025-26 season with nine new members, including freshman Libby Wilhelm from Prosper, Florida. Libby, a decorated rider with multiple championships in horsemanship and equitation, chose Auburn for its welcoming community and strong team spirit. She has been riding since age six and values the lessons horseback riding has taught her about appreciation and perseverance.

Balancing academics and athletics is a challenge for Libby, who emphasizes the importance of time management. Outside of riding, she enjoys reading and encourages younger riders to stay committed despite difficulties. She describes the Auburn equestrian team as “united” and praises the quality of their horses. Libby aspires to ride internationally, particularly in Europe, and draws inspiration from her goals and teammates.
