The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team is gearing up for the 2025-26 season with nine new members, including freshman Kailee Rife from Raymond, Ohio. Kailee, a Western discipline rider, brings an impressive background as an AQHYA World Reserve Champion and multiple Congress and AQHA titles. She was drawn to Auburn for its small-town atmosphere, strong equestrian program, and the supportive “Auburn Family.” Kailee emphasizes the importance of staying calm and confident in riding, balancing academics and athletics through time management, and values the unity and close-knit nature of the team.
Outside of riding, Kailee enjoys outdoor activities, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She advises younger riders aiming for college competition to be coachable and open to learning. Inspired by her teammates, Kailee dreams of trail-riding in Montana for its peaceful scenery. She highlights the strong bonds within the Auburn equestrian team, noting that their connection extends beyond the arena into everyday life.
