The 82nd annual Santa Maria Elks rodeo is generating excitement, particularly for 9-year-old Adilyn Batchelor, who has been named the 2025 Santa Maria Elks Miss Mini rodeo. A fourth grader at Benjamin Foxen Elementary, Adilyn is eager to participate in every rodeo performance, parade, and related event. She has a deep passion for rodeo activities, especially barrel racing and bull riding, and enjoys the music and food associated with the event.
Adilyn is an active rodeo competitor, participating in events like barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying. She is also a straight-A student and involved in 4-H, where she is raising a market lamb and turkey for the Santa Barbara County Fair. With aspirations to become an equestrian veterinarian, she dreams of competing in barrel racing at the National Finals rodeo and hopes to ride her horse, Reata, in the upcoming rodeo Parade.
Joining Adilyn in the festivities are her fellow court members: Baylor Filipe, Isabella Holtman, and Kinslee Gradoville, each with their own unique interests and backgrounds in the rodeo community. The camaraderie among these young participants highlights the community spirit and excitement surrounding this year’s rodeo events.
