Meagan Davis, riding Toronto Lightfoot, achieved a personal best score of 73.685% to win the World Equestrian Center CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle in Ocala, marking her fifth victory in the last two months. Based in Loxahatchee near Wellington, Davis and the 13-year-old Totilas-sired gelding have dominated recent competitions with five wins in eight starts, including two double-wins in Ocala. Claire Darnell secured second place with 73.450% on Harrold S, continuing her streak of runner-up finishes.
In the CDI3* Grand Prix Special, Nora Batchelder triumphed on the 11-year-old mare Nova with a personal best score of 67.958%, overcoming a mistake in the one-tempi changes to earn top marks from most judges. This victory marked Batchelder’s third international win in two weeks. Jodie Kelly-Baxley and Ellesse Gundersen completed the USA podium sweep, placing second and third respectively. The event showcased strong performances from American riders, with notable contributions from international competitors as well.
