McLeod County 4-H’ers showcased their skills and knowledge at the Minnesota 4-H State Horse show, participating in various categories such as hippology, horse judging, horse training, speech, showmanship, and drill team skills. The event took place from Sept. 13-16 at the State Fairgrounds.
Among the participants from McLeod County, Kianna Dolezal placed 63rd in overall individual hippology, while Margaret Goebel secured 1st place in saddle seat pleasure. Tayler Jutz achieved 42nd place in overall individual hippology, 8th place in senior team hippology, and also placed in key race and poles categories. Riley Krenik placed in various categories such as hunt seat equitation, western horsemanship, and western pleasure.
Other participants from McLeod County included Grace Swaja, who placed 7th in horse-related categories for sixth through eighth grade, as well as Hayley Bolland, Jada Emme, Shelby Hopp, and Nora Yates. The event showcased the dedication and talent of the 4-H’ers in the horse industry.
