The Punjab Equestrian Festival 2.0 concluded successfully at Palanpur, Mohali, showcasing top performances in show-jumping, dressage, and skill-based events. Mayank, Rudar Nehra, and Ugam Singh won the Open 90 cm, 75 cm, and 60 cm show-jumping categories respectively, while Jyoti and Diya Sharma excelled in dressage and jumping events. Other notable winners included Krishnan Kotodian Gill in the relay segment, Divjot Kaur in Group-2 dressage and Open Hacks, and Rajpal Singh, Loveinder Singh, and Suhirad dominating pole-bending events. The festival also featured team and individual lance competitions, with BSF winning the team event and Ankit Kumar taking the individual title.
Organized by Punjab’s tourism and cultural affairs department along with local administration and key organizers, the three-day event highlighted Punjab’s growing prominence in equestrian sports. Chief guest MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer emphasized the government’s commitment to making the festival an annual event and announced plans for a professional horse ring in Palanpur to further develop the sport. Several political leaders and dignitaries attended the closing day, underscoring the state’s dedication to preserving traditional sports and cultural heritage.
