Maryland Lottery players enjoyed a lucrative week from October 20-26, with total winnings exceeding $27.1 million across various games. A notable highlight was the virtual horse racing game Racetrax, where longshot horses with the longest odds (numbers 9 through 12) frequently finished in top positions, leading to significant payouts in multiple locations including Fort Washington, Laurel, and Baltimore. Key winning race outcomes occurred on October 24 and 26, featuring combinations of these longshot horses, and an additional major Racetrax win was reported in Randallstown on October 22.
Besides Racetrax, three players won $50,000 prizes from scratch-off tickets and the Pick 5 draw game in Hyattsville, Silver Spring, and Westminster. Overall, 23 tickets worth $10,000 or more were claimed statewide during the week. Winners are reminded to sign their tickets and claim prizes over $25,000 by appointment at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, while smaller prizes can be redeemed at any Maryland casino cashier window.
