The Maryland International Equestrian Foundation (MIEF) is currently accepting applications for several scholarships until February 20, 2026, aimed at supporting riders at various levels. These include the $1,000 MIEF Adult Amateur Scholarship sponsored by Dale Clabaugh – State Farm Agent, designed to help adult riders balance life and eventing goals; the $500 MIEF Junior Rider Scholarship sponsored by Dover Saddlery for young grassroots riders; and four $1,000 MIEF FEI Rider Scholarships for North American riders competing at higher levels in the Maryland International Horse Trials. New this year, any unused scholarship funds may be applied toward entry fees for subsequent Maryland horse trials.
Additionally, recent U.S. eventing results and updates include competitions like the Rocking Horse Winter I HT in Florida and the Ram Tap Combined Test in California, with the Full Gallop Farm January HT in South Carolina postponed to January 28. The update also features a practical winter training tip from dressage professional JJ Tate and a lighthearted mention of snowpolo as a fun equestrian activity to consider.
