Martha Stewart revealed on the “50+ & Unfiltered” podcast that she plans to forgo traditional burial or cremation in favor of being composted on her own property, similar to how she buries her late horses. She described digging a deep grave, wrapping the deceased in a linen sheet, and filling the hole back up, emphasizing that she wants to be laid to rest this natural way regardless of legal restrictions.
Despite having survived multiple near-death experiences, including being struck by lightning three times, Stewart is clear about her end-of-life wishes. She prefers a simple, eco-friendly burial without a coffin, reflecting her personal values and connection to her farm, and expects to live many more years before her plan comes into effect.
