Margaret Haes Riding Centre Fundraises for Outdoor Feeders to Reduce Haylage Wastage

The Margaret Haes Riding Centre is fundraising to purchase three Tombstone Round Bale Feeders, costing around £600 each, to reduce haylage wastage and cut feeding costs during winter. Due to limited grazing land, the centre must feed its horses haylage in the field, but without proper feeders, much of the food is lost to weather and trampling. With haylage costing approximately £330 per week, minimizing wastage is essential for the charity’s sustainability.

The centre, which offers horse riding facilities for people of all abilities including those with disabilities, has raised £85 towards its £700 goal via a GoFundMe campaign. Celebrating its 60th anniversary next year, the charity plans events to further support its mission of providing therapeutic riding experiences to vulnerable community members.
