Margaret C. Farone, 74, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. Born in New Britain, she was married to William Farone for 54 years. Margaret had a long career at Berlin Savings Bank, retiring as Manager of Operations after 28 years, and later ran her own custom screen-printing business, “Fit to a Tee,” until 2024. She was deeply involved in her community and church, volunteering at St. Paul Catholic Church’s food pantry and food share distribution. Margaret was passionate about horses, founding the Berlin 4-H Trail Dusters Club and leading it for 20 years, and she and William bred German Shorthaired Pointers for over three decades, earning multiple awards.
Margaret cherished family, cooking, gardening, and friendships, often sharing her famous recipes during gatherings. She was a devoted New England Whalers fan and active in several dog clubs, serving in leadership roles. She is survived by her husband, dogs, siblings, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on December 29, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Kensington, with donations suggested to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or GSP Rescue New England in lieu of flowers.
