The Madison Police Department’s Mounted Horse Patrol has officially begun its riding season, with officers returning to horseback after training through the winter months. The patrol will be active and visible in the community through the end of November, engaging with residents and providing a law enforcement presence during the warmer months.
The mounted patrol serves multiple roles, including community engagement, crowd management, special event support, and search and rescue operations. The Friends of Madison Mounted Horse Patrol encourage residents to share photos of the horses on social media and tag the patrol to help foster community connection.
