Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore Announce Joint Training Partnership for 2025/26 Jumps Season

Lucinda Russell, a seasoned trainer since 1995 with over 1,000 winners including major victories at the Grand Nationals and Cheltenham Festival, is set to become joint trainer alongside Michael Scudamore at their Kinross yard starting in the 2025/26 jumps season. Scudamore, who has been assistant trainer for two years and previously trained independently in Herefordshire, has integrated well into the team, contributing to a 20% increase in stable size and the construction of new facilities, now housing around 160 horses. This partnership allows Russell to focus more on sourcing high-quality horses, enhancing the stable’s overall performance.

Michael Scudamore expressed enthusiasm about the joint role, highlighting the stable’s recent success and their shared ambition to achieve even greater heights. Having adapted to the new environment over the past two years, he feels fully integrated into the experienced team, confident in their collective ability to build on their achievements and continue delivering strong results.
