The organisers of the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics have released the competition timetable, marking 1,000 days until the Games begin on August 13, 2028, at Santa Anita Park. dressage events will take place over five days (August 16-19 and 21), with medallists among the first champions crowned. This will be the first time Los Angeles hosts the Paralympics, with the equestrian events held at the scenic Santa Anita Park near downtown LA, expected to attract large audiences and new fans to para equestrian sport.
The FEI recently approved the Paralympic qualification system, with the first chance to qualify at the 2025 World Championships in Aachen. The Games will feature the highest number of women athletes ever on the Paralympic stage. Other early medal events include athletics, fencing, shooting, and track cycling. LA 28 officials emphasize an athlete-first approach, aiming to create memorable competition moments and celebrate resilience and human potential in this historic Paralympic debut for Los Angeles.
