Local horse rider Florence Human, 23, from Mark near Burnham-On-Sea, achieved national success by winning the Prix St. George Bronze Freestyle to Music class at the Petplan Area Festival Championships in Lincolnshire. Riding her horse Fulgencio (nicknamed Dylan), she impressed judges with a unique routine choreographed to music by local equine producer Tony Hobden, earning a winning score of 69.125%. Florence also secured second place in the Prix St. George Bronze class, marking a standout performance at the British dressage National Championships.
Balancing her role as an emergency call handler for the Ambulance Service with her passion for dressage, Florence regularly trains at her parents’ stables and cares for two other young horses. Her dedication to the sport and innovative approach to freestyle riding clearly paid off, showcasing her talent and commitment despite a demanding work schedule.
