Little Treasures Farm in Chaplin, founded in 2023 by Jane Scanlon along with her daughter Haley and friend Andrew Campbell, is a rescue farm dedicated to caring for horses that have suffered neglect or abuse. The farm currently houses over a dozen horses, including notable rescues like Glory, who is battling a serious uterine infection, and Harley, saved from a kill pen. The rescue operates as a nonprofit, offering services such as boarding, lessons, shows, and an adopt-a-horse program, with fundraising efforts underway to support medical expenses for the animals.
The farm’s origins trace back to Jane’s lifelong passion for rescuing horses, and the team’s commitment was exemplified when they quickly mobilized to save seven horses from a kill pen in New York, securing funding within 24 hours. Andrew Campbell manages the administrative side, while Jane and Haley focus on animal care. Little Treasures Farm continues to grow its mission of rehabilitation and adoption, providing a safe haven for horses and donkeys in need.
