Limerick Show 2025: Celebrating Family, Farming, and Local Traditions at the 93rd Event

The 93rd Limerick Show, held at Limerick Racecourse in Patrickswell, celebrates a strong family tradition and community spirit, drawing up to 15,000 visitors, 1,000 competitors, and 150 trade exhibitors. Highlighting local agriculture, the event features top livestock, sheep shearing, and the new TIHA Colt Championship showcasing Irish horse breeding. Family-friendly attractions include a Kids Zone with free entertainment, pony rides, and an animal farm, alongside live music, a fashion show, and a popular dog show. The show also supports local businesses and sustainability efforts through dedicated marquees and a careers village connecting attendees with major employers.

Limerick Show president Leo Walsh emphasizes the event’s role in uniting Limerick city and county while promoting local farmers and producers, with strong backing from lead sponsor AMCS, a successful Limerick-based company. The event continues a tradition dating back to 1929, exemplified by families like the Powers, who have participated across three generations. Complimentary bus services facilitate access, ensuring the show remains a key highlight of the Limerick social calendar.
