Parker Haydt, a 4-H member from Walnutport in Lehigh County, won first place in the pleasure horse driving class at the 65th annual Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show held October 23-26 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. The event featured over 1,400 entries across 82 performance classes, including showmanship, horsemanship, driving, and events for riders with disabilities. Haydt was also recognized for his service on Team Horse Power, a statewide youth leadership group providing educational clinics during the show.
Champions at the event received custom Wendell August Forge pewter plates, ribbons, and embroidered jackets, while reserve champions earned gift certificates from Perri’s Leather. The show was supported by sponsors such as the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and Penn State Extension.
