Lawton Animal Welfare Hosts Fee-Free Adoption Event to Find Homes for Animals

The Lawton Animal Welfare is urgently seeking homes for their animals and is hosting a fee-free adoption event ending Saturday, July 19. They have a variety of cats, dogs, puppies, kittens, and even two roosters available for adoption. While most adoptions are free, a refundable $17.25 deposit is required for animals under three months old until they receive their rabies vaccine. The shelter is located at 2104 SW 6th Street in Lawton, Oklahoma, and operates from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

The shelter’s kennels are full, prompting this event to find new homes quickly. Additionally, they are rehoming two roosters for free, but adopters must live outside Lawton city limits, as roosters are not allowed within the city. Prospective adopters must be at least 18 years old, provide ID, and renters need landlord approval. For more information or to inquire about adoptions, interested individuals can contact Lawton Animal Welfare by phone or visit their website.
