Laudrup-Dufour Makes Historic Leap from 25th to World No. 1 in Dressage Rankings

Laudrup-Dufour has made a remarkable leap in the international dressage rankings, moving from 25th to the top position, surpassing the previous record jump to world No. 1. This rise was fueled by two significant victories in March 2026 at the CDI5 competitions in Herning, resulting in a substantial points increase of +695, far exceeding previous top-ranking jumps. Laudrup-Dufour expressed deep satisfaction with the partnership and performances alongside her horse, Mount St John Freestyle, which has also ascended to the number one spot in the FEI dressage World Rankings for horses.

Following Laudrup-Dufour, the rankings feature Justin Verboomen of Belgium in second place, closely trailed by Germany’s Isabell Werth in third, with Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and Becky Moody rounding out the top five. Notably, the horses Zonik Plus and Wendy de Fontaine, associated with Verboomen and Werth respectively, hold the second and third positions in the horse rankings, highlighting the competitive depth at the highest level of international dressage.
