At the FEI dressage World Cup Grand Prix held during Jumping Mechelen 2025, Belgian rider Larissa Pauluis and her horse Flambeau delivered a standout performance, winning the event with a score of 73.91%. Their strong partnership and harmony impressed the judges, securing Pauluis’s victory in front of a supportive home crowd. Fellow Belgian riders also performed well, making it a memorable morning for the host nation.
European Champion and world number one Justin Verboomen took second place riding Djembe de Hus with a score of 73.07%, demonstrating the progress of their recent training. Portugal’s João Pedro Moreira earned third place with 72.54%, while Marieke van der Putten narrowly missed the podium in fourth. Wim Verwimp’s sixth place finish further highlighted the strong Belgian presence at the event.
