On May 17, 2025, Lake County Search and Rescue (SAR) responded to an emergency incident involving a horseback rider who fell and lost consciousness near the Buffalo Bridge area in Lake County, Montana.

The rescue operation involved collaboration among several agencies, including the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Polson Rural Fire, Polson Ambulance, and ALERT.

Following the incident, the injured rider was airlifted by ALERT for further medical treatment.
