Kyle Timm of Calgary, Alberta, made a memorable debut at the 2025 Royal Horse Show by winning the Canadian Show Jumping Champion title aboard Atomica des Sequoias Z. The $125,000 Henry Equestrian Canadian Show Jumping Championship took place over two days at Toronto’s Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, with Timm delivering three fault-free rounds, including a winning jump-off time of 42.32 seconds. Now based in France, Timm expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic Canadian crowd and praised his horse’s quality and consistency, which were key to his victory.
Nicole Walker of Aurora, Ontario, finished as the Reserve Champion, closely followed by Sean Jobin of Toronto in third place. With this win, Timm joins other top Canadian riders in the prestigious CSI5*-W international division at the Royal Horse Show, leading up to the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Toronto event. The championship highlighted strong performances from Canadian talent and celebrated over a century of show jumping tradition at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
