The Police Sports Union in Kuwait is hosting its first international showjumping championship at the Al-Ittihad Racetrack in Sabhan from January 28 to 31, featuring riders from Kuwait, Arab, Gulf, and European countries. This event follows recent equestrian competitions held at the Police Sports Union track, including the Equestrian League, dressage championships, and the World dressage Challenge, supported by the Kuwait Equestrian Federation and the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). The championship also highlights strong collaboration between sports institutions to enhance Kuwait’s equestrian system.
Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, President of the Police Sports Federation, emphasized the federation’s commitment to supporting equestrian activities by providing facilities for tournaments and training camps. The tournament features a distinguished judging panel led by international judges Nizar Al-Mustafa and Mohammed Dadallah, with courses designed by Andreas Stoiber Pamberger. Competitions will be held at various jump heights ranging from 100 cm to 145 cm, aiming to elevate the level of equestrian sport in Kuwait.
