Kristina Williams Leads 4-H Youth Development Program in Carson City and Storey County

Kristina Williams is a community-based instructor for the University of Nevada, Reno Extension, leading the 4-H Youth Development Program in Carson City and Storey County. With a lifelong involvement in 4-H starting from third grade, Kristina transitioned from being a Washoe County School District teacher assistant to working with Extension for over a year. She organizes summer day camps, fall festivals, and is actively working to expand 4-H clubs and projects that cover diverse topics like pets, livestock, herpetology, archery, and sewing.

The 4-H Program offers youth ages 5 to 19 hands-on learning, mentorship, and STEAM exploration through clubs, projects, and camps. Extension, part of the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources, provides research-based education to meet community needs through a county-state-federal partnership. Kristina encourages community members to become 4-H leaders by starting clubs or sharing skills to enrich local youth experiences.
