Korea Racing Authority Opens Applications for Second Jangje Academy Training Program

The Korea Racing Authority is recruiting its second batch of trainees for the Jangje Academy, a 10-day program starting on the 15th aimed at training professional Jangjeisa (horse caretakers) in Korea. As the sole designated training institution for Jangjeisa, the Authority offers free education to applicants over 17 years old, providing systematic training from April to December that includes both theoretical and practical courses related to horse care, physiology, laws, forging, and horse racing. The program also includes hands-on experience through tours of horse hospitals and racing sites.

Applicants are selected through document review and interviews, with the goal of helping trainees acquire national qualifications. More information on recruitment schedules and selection procedures is available on the Korean Horse Association website and the horse industry portal Hospia. This initiative supports the development of skilled professionals in Korea’s horse industry by combining comprehensive education with practical exposure.
