Bronte Beach Z and Ema Klugman secured their second CCI3*-S championship at VHC Eventing with a score of 24.7, leveraging years of experience and familiarity with the challenging Virginia Horse Center terrain. Klugman emphasized the importance of balancing speed and horse fitness, aiming to complete the course without time faults while preparing Bronte for upcoming higher-level competitions. Their victory also honored the support of the Bronte Beach Syndicate, highlighting the collaborative effort behind their success.
In other divisions, Olympian Phillip Dutton leads the CCI2-L with Autumn Leaves, narrowly ahead of teammate Caroline Pamukcu, while Tim Bourke and DHI Kevin G dominated the CCI2-S. Kenta Hiranaga impressed in his first VHC appearance by winning the CCI1*-L and aiming for future Olympic competition. The event also featured a broad range of National Horse Trials winners across multiple levels, showcasing strong performances throughout the weekend at the Virginia Horse Center.
