Kiss Me Blue “Chrissy” Named 2025 USEF Heart Horse Award Winner for Impact at Maryland Therapeutic Riding

US Equestrian has named Kiss Me Blue, affectionately known as “Chrissy,” the 2025 USEF Heart Horse Award winner. Chrissy, a 2001 American Quarter Horse at Maryland Therapeutic Riding (MTR) in Crownsville, Maryland, has spent 17 years providing Equine Assisted Services, forming life-changing bonds with hundreds of individuals. Her impact is exemplified by stories like that of Tess, a brain cancer patient who gained confidence and strength through riding Chrissy, with her family continuing to honor Chrissy’s memory annually.

The Heart Horse Award recognizes horses involved in US Equestrian’s Community Outreach Program, which supports equine-based learning organizations offering accessible services. The award highlights the vital role these horses play beyond competition, celebrating their contributions to community well-being. Chrissy will be honored at the USEF Annual Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, in January 2026, joining other finalists who exemplify the profound connection between horses and humans.
