The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center has appointed Kim Battin as its new program director. Battin, who has been with the center for 14 years as stable manager, succeeds Susan Rotz, the former director who also served for 14 years. Known for her extensive knowledge of both the horses and participants, Battin is committed to advancing the center’s mission of improving lives through therapeutic riding.
The center provides adaptive horseback riding lessons and equine-assisted activities for individuals facing physical, emotional, and developmental challenges. Battin expressed enthusiasm about her new role, aiming to expand the program’s reach and support more families in the community. Those interested in learning more or volunteering can contact Battin directly.
