At the 2025 Rising Stars cob championship at the London International Horse Show, Jocelyn Cleveland achieved a remarkable victory riding De Kobdashian (Elsa), a maxi cob owned by Susanna O’Reilly Hyland. Jocelyn, who had developed a strong bond with Elsa, was initially stunned by their win, having been nervous about competing in London. Elsa, an eight-year-old champion previously shown in Dublin, has had a successful season with Jocelyn, including top finishes at the Royal International Horse Show and other qualifiers. The pair have also enjoyed exploring working show horse classes together.
Reserve honors went to Samantha Hodgson-Clarke and her part-bred Percheron x Gelderlander, Grane Valley Mr Newark (Yogi), who also qualified for the style and performance under-25 class. Other notable competitors included Kristiane Tobin and her cob Brookdale Just In Time, who won the lightweight or heavyweight cob class and expressed ambitions to compete at the Horse of the Year Show. Kristiane credited her instructor Marina Evans for her progress and confidence in showing after a long break from competition.
