Stockbridge’s Jemima Green, riding her seven-year-old horse Fantabulous, achieved a personal best by earning 76.307% and securing third place in the Grade 2 freestyle at the FEI Para dressage European Championship 2025 in the Netherlands. Despite her initial anxiety about freestyle routines, Green found the experience enjoyable, aided by a carefully chosen violin-led soundtrack that suited Fantabulous’s sensitivity to sound. She credited her trainer Georgie Nicholls, groom Maisie Hodge, and the support from UK Sport, the National Lottery, and British Equestrian for her confidence and success throughout the competition.
Green described Fantabulous as a talented and wonderful partner, expressing pride in having developed him from a young age. Their polished and expressive freestyle performance impressed both judges and spectators, culminating in a rewarding and emotional achievement for the team. Green emphasized the privilege of riding Fantabulous and acknowledged the breeders, Rainer and Angelika Ahlers, for their ongoing support.
