Local equestrian Jane Kluczkowski and her horse, Uri, celebrated a remarkable milestone by completing a Century Ride at the Valhalla horse barn on June 14. This prestigious event, requiring the combined ages of horse and rider to total at least 100 years, honors a deep, long-term partnership and mastery of dressage. Their performance, described as a “silent dance,” showcased the intuitive, nearly telepathic communication between rider and horse, embodying the essence of classical horsemanship.
Following the ride, Kluczkowski was honored with a commemorative silver frame and a gold and black ribbon for Uri’s bridle, marking her induction into The dressage Foundation’s Century Club, which includes over 830 riders nationwide. The event also signified Uri’s retirement from public performances, celebrating their enduring bond and shared dedication to the art of dressage.
