Jacqueline Siu Wing-ying, a 43-year-old Hong Kong dressage rider and 2018 Asian Games gold medallist, has choreographed an emotional Abba-inspired freestyle routine for her final attempt at gold at the 2025 FEI Asian Championships. Having secured a team bronze earlier and narrowly missing an individual medal by 0.03 percent, Siu remains motivated despite the close result.
On the eve of her favorite freestyle event, Siu expressed solidarity with those affected by a recent deadly fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong, emphasizing that the tragedy puts competition into perspective. Freestyle dressage involves riders performing self-devised routines set to music, judged on both technical skill and artistic impression.
