Known affectionately as “Jonny,” the German-bred Don Frederico gelding was a key partner in Werth’s career, helping her secure European team gold in 2013 and bronze at Aachen in 2015. Together, they achieved 55 wins in grands prix and freestyle events across Europe, including an unbeaten streak of 16 consecutive victories from late 2016 to 2017, and represented Germany at multiple European Championships and the 2013 World Cup Final.

Werth fondly remembered Jonny as a special character and a loyal athlete who remained true to himself and his team until retirement in 2019.
