Irish rider Darragh Kenny won the FEI Jumping World Cup in London, beating Olympic medallist Ben Maher and fellow Briton Robert Whitaker in the jump-off. Kenny rode Eddy Blue to victory with a time of 34.76 seconds, while Maher and Point Break came in second with 35.15 seconds after a slight hesitation. Whitaker and Vermento finished in third place with a time of 37.89 seconds after clipping the opening fence.
Kenny praised Eddy Blue for being “unbelievable” in the jump-off, describing him as a “cool horse.” Maher, who won team jumping gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, expressed pride in Point Break’s performance despite being disappointed not to win. Maher mentioned a small mistake that cost them time in the jump-off, emphasizing the importance of small margins at this level of competition.
Briton Tim Gredley also reached the final jump-off and finished fourth on Imperial HBF in the FEI Jumping World Cup in London. The competition showcased top riders and horses competing at a high level, with Kenny ultimately emerging as the winner with an impressive performance on Eddy Blue.
